Declan joins Snow Patrol & releases ‘Christmas Wine’

Following a successful strings of dates opening for Snow Patrol in Austria and Germany in October the band have asked Declan to join them to play acoustic guitar on their sell out tour of the UK including 2 performances in the legendary Wembley Arena in London and on their home ground in Belfast.

This caps a fantastic year for Declan during which he played support to Paul Weller, Nizlopi, The Cardigans, The Divine Comedy, Paulo Nutini and Snow Patrol in the UK and Europe. Jonathan Ross has become a fan and has given several plays to Galileo, Your World and No Brakes on his BBC Radio 1 Show.

Declan is currently on tour with the great Paul Weller, who has been a great supporter, recently telling Q magazine that Galileo was the best song he had heard in 20 years and that he wished he had written it. He also listed Since Kyabram as one of his top ten albums of the year in the Guardian last month.

If this were not enough, Declan releases a Christmas single this week. 'Christmas Wine' also features the voice of the celebrated Swedish star Nina Kinert . Her crystal soprano is a great foil to Declans rich baritone and 'Christmas Wine' is a classic in the tradition of Bing Crosbys White Christmas with a beautiful string arrangement by Declan himself. The single will be available to buy in all Irish record stores and to down load at itunes amongst others from Friday.

Declan is doing a short Irish Christmas tour before he joins up with Snow Patrol. He is supported by Nina Kinert on these Irish dates…Full details can be found on the gigs page...... "..
